184 Pasadena, CA 91107 (626) 376-4990 Excellent service, same day too. Art came out and fixed everything and for a very reasonable price. Need some work on appliances, call them. Thank you Art! Kind of confused. We had a super loud dryer that needed work on. First time, Art and an assistant came out and fixed it ($130). He said it could be the vent that was clogged... so we paid for someone to come clean out the vent.
The vent cleaner said that the vent was clean! However, Art made the noise go away so I was happy. About 3 days after he left, the noise came right back. Called them they showed up (free of charge, and quickly) and took the lid off the dryer. Said something was wrong with the motor, and that it would be $150-$180 again to fix it. I declined. I was going to just buy a new dryer at this point. Then he said he can temporarily fix it for a cheaper price, I forget the exact quote but about $100 ish I want to say.
I declined once again. Then the weird thing is, he points out "hey, do you know that the dryer was on an uneven surface?" And levels the dryer (back of the dryer rested on a missing tile floor). And now the dryer works perfectly, for over 3 weeks. What was that? I don't know. Is the motor really blown? I don't know. But my dryer works again and I did not spend more money on it fix it the second time like suggested.
When I gave the call to make an appointment, they were able to give me appointment next day. They gave a 3 to 6pm window when the technician was going to show, however, the technician, to my surprise, show up 30 min early than the expected time window. Arman was my technician, he was very helpful with the service that he provided. I would definitely give them the call. Update: I forgot to mention.
He took his time to find the problem, and gave a solution to fix my issues that I had with my refrigerator. Arman was definitely helpful, and I would definitely ask for Arman again. Thank goodness for Arman who came on Saturday to revive my 2001 refrigerator. He cleaned my compressor and showed me how to maintain the refrigerator performance. He pulled a big hunking glob of dust out of it. His service will add life to our appliance.
He is the best! He also does dishwashers and clothes washers and dryers. I loved my experience with Pasadena Appliance Repair. They truly have next day service. The staff is friendly and professional. My dishwasher was on the fritz and they totally helped us out. Anton came out and did a thorough job, we are very pleased. I'm so happy that I'll be able to use the dishwasher again!!! I had called other places in the vicinity and they had been total snobs, saying they don't work with certain brands; which I find completely unacceptable.
Anyways, Pasadena Appliance Repair is my Go-to place from now on. I am updating my review since I did receive a refund for my dryer repair. I appreciated this since I thought the technician overcharged me anyways. As a word of caution, I would have the technician itemize your charges so you know exactly what is being charged and how much it costs. Fast, efficient, professional repair of our refrigerator which wouldn't stay cool.
Vic came promptly, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, and offered to fix it in a few days (although due to my schedule, I had him come the next week instead). Vic and his partner were very polite and accommodating. Best repair experience I've ever had. My dryer had stopped working and I was able to get a same appointment. The receptionist was pleasant to speak with. The mechanic, Art, gave me a call before arriving and came on time.
He was quick, thorough and very helpful. He even cleaned all the dust inside of the dryer and gave me tips and pointers on how to take better care of my washer and dryer. All in all, I have a very pleasant experience and will definitely recommend this place to my friends! Art is the Appliance Guru! He can solve any issues, & will always steer you toward the best solution for what ails your appliances! He's always very helpful & super-informed about even older appliances, like mine.
Arthur is reliable, honest, & a genuinely great guy. I rely on him for all my appliance fixes! I can't tell you how lucky I am to have read these reviews and chose Pasadena Appliance Repair! Arman, the technician came out the very same day, (on a Saturday!). He was thorough- informed me of every aspect of what was wrong, and helped me solve the problem with ease. I will absolutely come back to this company and request Arman each time! The pricing can't be beat and there policy of not charging unless the problem is fixed, can't be beat! Thank you Arman! I called for service regarding my washer appliance that has not been working, Art came and worked on it immediately, he did excellent work, he made sure it works well several times, thank you! Arman arrived next day in the morning and remedied my washer issue, strong vibration causing movement across floor.
He was curteous and thorough and fair. Explained it was only due to being an older unit but fixed problem on spot with no need for replacement parts. I will absolutely be a repeat customer. Art was amazing!!! Super prompt and knew exactly what was going on with our washer. Had it fixed in twenty minutes and even waived the service fee. Will definitely call him for any problems with our appliances.
I had an emergency fridge break down and needed someone to come look at the fridge on Saturday morning. The person on the phone taking appointment was polite and throughal. Our technician, Arman, was punctual and professional. He found out that our fridge had electrical issue and busted compressor. He was able to fix it in an hour and we had our fridge again. The part came with 90day warranty. I am very happy with their service and promptness.
Art was experienced, clean, and honest. I would use them again. Art gave me good advice and guided me on what I need to do. I called pasadena appliance for a estimate and repair on my washer. They were very nice and helpfull in getting me a tech to come out on the same day. The tech (Arman-great guy) came on time and was very professional. He came and checked out my washer and was really quick in doing his job! He was very careful in handling the machine and explained things very well.
Do recommend this company! Pasadena Appliance Repair did a great job on my refrigerator. My fridge went out and I was able to call them right away to schedule an appointment. Art called me 30 min prior to coming and was very punctual. He checked out my fridge and knew right away what the problem was. He had all the supplies needed and fixed it in a timely manner. I'd ask for Art as he was very friendly and informative.
Benny the technician arrived on time and diagnosed my stove problem immediately he offered to repair and offered a discount. He was courteous and prompt he appears to be knowledgeable, however, we experienced power outage for about an hour and he wasn't able to do the repair. The service was fast and efficient. We called inquiring about our washer that wasn't draining the water. The secretary gave us a quote over the phone, and Art was very considerate.
He called before he arrived and was punctual. Got the job done in 25 minutes. Our 5 year old dishwasher stopped draining. The spin cycle would error out with code E24. After a week of trying to find the right technician, we came across Pasadena Appliance Repair. Hayk the technician was punctual and efficient. Within 10 mins he identified the problem with the filter and resolved the issue. He was professional and thorough.

Do fabric softener sheets damage dryers? Fabric softener sheets won't damage a dryer, but they do reduce the machine's efficiency.
The sheets contain a small amount of fabric softener that, when heated, penetrates clothing. However, it also leaves residue behind in the dryer. This residue can get stuck in the lint filter and reduce circulation. This then makes it harder for the machine to dry clothes and increases the risk of overheating. What prevents a clothes dryer from generating heat? There are several possible reasons for why a clothes dryer isn't generating heat: The lint filter is blocked.
A surprising amount of people don't realize their dryer's lint filter must be cleaned before every cycle. The location of the filter varies depending on the machine's model. The thermal fuse has blown. This mechanism prevents the machine from overheating. Aside from the lint filter trap, a broken thermal fuse is the most common cause of malfunctioning dryers. There's no way to repair a broken fuse - it must be replaced.
The heating element burned out. This device warms the air before it enters the dryer drum. Like the thermal fuse, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced if broken. The air vent hose is bent, damaged, or clogged with lint not caught by the filter. This obstructs the airflow, making it difficult for clothes to dry.
